Cat Approved Car

Well, he hasn't approved yet, let's put it that way. XD

We got the rental car now that the repair place is fixing the old car from the accident, and it's this new shiny thingie that makes Mom nervous to drive (she's afraid of damaging it--this happened four years ago after the last accident, too XD). When she got home, the cat was acting weird. Skiddish. He came in with us, and then wanted back outside right away. He's been flakey lately about that, so I thought nothing of it, but when we went out, too, we found the cat slowly approaching the car's front bumper as if it was about to back at him. XD He started sniffing all over the bumper and around the side slowly. It was hilarious! It's like he had to approve it or something.

We've had the old car for over ten years, so he's used to that one, but we never realized that he actually distinguished it from other cars to actually KNOW our car from other cars. Not only was it "different" it was in "our space" in the driveway. He's never gotten weird about my brother's car when he visits, or anyone else's, it's just another car to the cat---but this new one is actually sitting in our old one's place.

Who knew cats were so particular about details? We've had tons of cats over the years, and they still never cease to amaze us.

Damn I love pets. XD
